About Us

The Canberra Orthopaedic Group is the largest orthopaedic practice in the ACT region. Our goal is to provide excellence and innovation in orthopaedic surgery with a focus on pre and post surgical patient care. With twelve surgeons, the group provides a comprehensive range of orthopaedic specialties including joint replacement, hand and limb surgery, sports injury, trauma, fracture management and spinal surgery to patients in the ACT, Goulburn and the South-East region of NSW.

Since 2005 the Group has been located in the new Clinical Services Building in the grounds of John James Healthcare Campus in Canberra, providing an enhanced standard of personal care and attention to patients.

Our specialist surgeons operate on and treat most orthopaedic conditions and injuries:

  • Arthroscopic repair, and reconstruction
  • Partial and total joint replacement
  • Joint stabilisation and decompression
  • Paediatric, arthritic, sports, and stress related conditions

The surgeons' commitment to excellence is evident in their extensive involvement in professional development forums, both as presenters and participants. The Canberra Orthopaedic Group is also extensively involved in training of orthopaedic registrars and fellowship training for surgeons seeking further specialist experience.
