Dr Kevin Woods MB BS(Hons) 1979, FRACS (Orth)A

Dr Woods is a graduate (Hons) of the University of NSW. Following completion of his advanced orthopaedic surgical training in Newcastle NSW, he was a senior registrar in orthopaedic surgery at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London (1987-1988). He was awarded the ‘A.M. Taylor Travelling Fellowship’ by the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Woods has been a consulting orthopaedic surgeon since 1989 at the Royal Canberra Hospital, and subsequently the Canberra Hospital (Woden), Calvary, National Capital and Calvary John James Hospitals. He has previously lectured for the Post-graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine at the Australian Institute of Sports, has been an instructor for the ‘Early Management of Severe Trauma’ course, run by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr Woods is currently an examiner in orthopaedic surgery for the R.A.C.S.
Dr Woods is a founding partner of Canberra Orthopaedic Group, a member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, and the Australian Knee Society, and Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Woods specialises in shoulder and knee surgery.
