Associate Professor Paul Smith FRACS (Orth) FA (Orth) A

Assoc Prof Smith graduated in medicine from The Flinders University of South Australia 1986, and completed orthopaedic surgical training in 1995. Following fellowships in adult joint replacement, in London, Ontario, and at Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre, Exeter, U.K. He returned to Canberra in 1998, taking up a full time clinical position specialising in adult knee and hip joint reconstructive surgery. He joined the Canberra Orthopaedic Group in 2004
Assoc Prof Smith is active in research and teaching with establishment and ongoing management roles with the Orthopaedic and Trauma Research Unit at The Canberra Hospital; the ACT Bone Bank; and the ACT Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Research Foundation. His teaching affiliations include the ANU Medical School.
Assoc Prof Smith specialises in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, primary and revision joint replacement, surgery of the knee, hip and pelvis.
