Dr Roberts graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1982. He completed his advanced Orthopaedic training in Sydney, working at The Royal North Shore, Hornsby, Camperdown, Sydney Adventist and Rachel Foster Hospitals. After his fellowship exams in Orthopaedics he underwent fellowships in Hand and Upper limb surgery at The Pulvertaft Hand Unit, Derby, England, and following this at the Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong.

From 1994 till 2003 he has served as the Supervisor of Surgical training in Orthopaedics. He is a current member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Australian Hand Surgery Society.

Dr Roberts specialises in Hand and Upper Limb surgery.
