Dr Aubin is a graduate (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa, Canada. His Orthopaedic training took place at the University of Calgary hospitals (Calgary General, Foothills Hospital, Rockyview Hospital, and Peter Laugheed Hospital) and was completed in 1999. He then became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. A fellowship in lower extremity reconstruction was undertaken at the University of Toronto Mt. Sinai Hospital, followed by a second fellowship in Orthopaedic tumours at the same location.

Dr Aubin then moved to Australia where he spent a year as a senior Registrar at The Canberra Hospital while successfully completing his Australian Orthopaedic exams. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001. Currently he is a consulting Orthopaedic surgeon at The Canberra Hospital, Calvary Hospital (Bruce) and the Calvary John James Hospital (Deakin).

Dr Aubin specialises in joint replacement of the lower extremity, orthopaedic trauma surgery, and surgery of the hip, knee, foot and ankle.
